External Affairs Committee

Dear Prospective Member,

Freshman-Sophomore Business Club is an organization that strives to teach about the business world. And one of the most essential skills in professionalism is communication. The External Affairs Committee has a lot to offer for those who wish to develop their communication skills and expand their network. External Affairs is FSBC's representative to the business community outside of UC Berkeley. The committee is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing all professional events for the club. Past events cover various aspects of the business world, ranging from business schools and degrees to obtaining success in a professional career. Being in the Bay Area, we have had the opportunity to work with many large companies, including Ernst & Young, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Pandora, and IBM. The panels, workshops, and presentations that we hold in cooperation with these corporations are carried out by the External Affairs Committee, including the annual FSBC Case Competition, where students are challenged with a real-world business issue and present to judges for a monetary prize. Our External Affairs Committee Members are constantly brainstorming new ideas to contribute to FSBC's professional events. Ideal candidates for the External Affairs Committee demonstrate good communication and networking skills, proactive leadership, and a strong sense of responsibility.
